For that you need a Rat or another distortion pedal, or as you said, a fuzz. No overdribe is gonna give you a real heavy rock distortion. But, play around with it, and you should be able to get some light and bluesy distorion out of it. I use it with the two tone controls at about 10 o'clock to keep the bass from being too flubby and the treble from being too bright. It's very much in the Bluesy distortion territory, but should give you some dirt and sustain if you crank the gain up to around 2-4 o'clock or higher. See Brian Wampler's video for a technical explanation about that). The green one appears to be a TS clone, similar to the Rowin LEF602B that I have, which is a good sounding TS9 clone, and has the warm/hot switch, with the warm having more distortion and the hot being cleaner but higher output (the more you clip the signal, the lower the output. I think they just had a dark case at first and changed to a lighter blue on the newer ones. The dark blue one appears to be the same pedal in a different colored case. I couldn't ask for more! So, when I think about buying yet another overdrive pedal, please remind me that I already have the six best in the world. It, and the Nux, rank alongside my Tomsline Dumbler, and my favorite Klon clones (the Chinese no-name Centaur, the Tone City Bad Horse, and the Caline Pegasus), as the best overdrive pedals I've tried, out of dozens and dozens, at any price. Whoever designed this thing did a more than perfect job, and I can't say enough good things about it. The level control has a lot of output too, if you want to assault the input of your tube amp.

And, the bass control has a ton of range too, and doesn't get too flubby or mushy when cranked either. The treble has a lot of range too, getting positively blistering when dimed, but without sounding too shrill or ice-picky.

The gain knob has a lot of range, so it's firmly in TS/Klon territory when at noon, but crank it up, and it gets into Rat territory, but never gets too raspy or fizzy, even when dimed. The gain is the first of the three small knobs, the second one is treble, and the third is bass. The large knob is a clear one with the blue "effect on" LED under it, like on Tone City pedals, but, interestingly, it's the level knob, not the gain one. The small knobs are a little bigger than those on most mini pedals, and they have white pointers, so you can easily see where they're set. And, it's built like a tank, with a really heavy solid metal case. And then, the more I dig in, the more it squeals, but even when I hit it really, really hard, it never gets too harsh or ragged sounding. And its dynamics are equal to the very best I've ever tried at any price, with a warm, sweet clean sound when I play really lightly, and just enough compression for the notes to still ring out and not choke from too light a signal from the pickups. The tonal balance with a Strat is perfect, very much like the Nux, but maybe just a slight bit brighter. Anyway, the Azor arrived today, and this thing does everything more than perfect in my opinion. 'cause in the event of a defective one, returning it is a lot easier than to China. I always try to buy from a US supplier even if it costs a little more,

Then a few days ago I saw the Azor overdrive for $24 with free shipping from California. It absolutely nails the classic TS sound and feel more than any other TS clone I've tried, except the EHX East River Drive, which costs three times as much, and doesn't have as much gain on tap as the NUX, which has more than a typical TS, if you want it. I had one before, and I remember that I really liked it a lot, so I decided to buy this one and give it another try. I found a NUX OD3 in mint condition for $20 with free shipping. So, I got out my other TS clones (Rowin Warm Drive, Tomsline MAB Vintage overdrive, and Eno ES9), and although they all sounded really good, none of them really had me floored. And, more importantly, it doesn't have enough compression to nail the feel of a Tubescreamer. Although it sounded good, it's tone didn't quite capture the Tubescreamer sound just right. After living with the new Caline Captain Silver Tubescreamer clone for awhile, I became a bit disillusioned with it. Actually two new overdrive pedals, but one I got about two weeks ago.
